Summer Staff at Delta:
A great week at camp can be the most meaningful and life changing experience in any person's life, especially for a young, growing Christian. Delta is a facility where such experiences take place. God is at work in this camp and you can be a part of His exciting ministry!
Qualified people with skills in counseling, sports, crafts, food service, programming, nursing and waterfront are needed for this summer. The involvement with the campers is varied and creative, depending on your area of work. Sharing your faith and being an example to youth is a great privilege as well as a great responsibility. Young people need Christian examples to follow and we seek staff members who are deeply committed to the Lord Jesus Christ. Compensation is based on experience, education, and level of responsibility.
What are the five main characteristics we look for in summer staff for Delta Lake?
- A commitment to Christ and His attitude of servanthood.
- A social and spiritual maturity drawn from experiences with God.
- An ability to communicate God's love to sometimes unlovely young people both by life and lip.
- An enthusiasm for life and Christianity which is contagious.
- A flexibility that responds positively to any job assigned.
Some college persons may wish to work all summer and would be willing to vary responsibilities in order to do so.
Haven camps are for the developmentally disabled. Some counselors may wish to work entirely or mostly in this area. Most counselors will be asked to serve at least one Haven week. Signify this preference on the application.

There will be times together as entire staff and times for individual teams to meet for specialized training (i.e., kitchen team, counseling team, waterfront team, Haven team, etc). Orientation is a requirement of all staff for summer employment. We want to be used by God to make a permanent difference in the lives of people who come to Delta this summer.
